Video - Understanding Mild Traumatic Brain Injury

Mild closed head injury can be difficult to explain to a patient or a jury, because often times there is just no outwards signs of injury. In fact, many emergency medical professionals miss mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI) entirely. Sometimes it takes months or years to recognized MTBI, and by then many complications have arisen that make recovery even more difficult.

Understanding Mild Traumatic Brain Injury uses beautiful, state-of-the art computer animation to explain the basic anatomy of the human brain, the mechanism and effects of injury, and the course of recovery.
